Giulia Alvares no Hult Prize
Giulia Alvares faz pitch por Rearth no Hult Prize

The Hult Prize is the largest student and social entrepreneurship competition in the world. Often referred to as the "Nobel Prize for Universities," it is one of the greatest honors a student can achieve during their university journey. For the winners and participants of the global final, the experience, prestige, and impeccable networking are just the beginning. With a monetary prize of $1,000,000 USD (one million dollars), it ensures that their business is ready to move to the next stage.

As expected, the selection process is rigorous, and only the best ideas make it through the regional and national stages to be selected for the global final. The final takes place consecutively in different countries, where students showcase their relentless oratory training and pitch for their first million.

Rearth was founded in 2022, and in less than a year from the conception to the first formulation of our solution, we were selected for the 2023 Hult Prize Global Final, with the theme "Redesigning the Fashion Industry." Our solution, focused on sustainable and regenerative agriculture, could be applied on a large scale to cotton producers who supply the fashion industry and its manufacturers. While our solution was promising, it was still not ready for investment.

After building many wonderful friendships and a valuable network that continues to support us today, we proudly represented Brazil at the Lisbon edition of the 2023 global final. Furthermore, the insights shared by the judges who evaluated our pitch were embraced, rethought multiple times, and used to refine our startup to better serve our customers.
